Allan ran away when he was about seven or eight years old only to be found by a family member and brought to his father’s home. Due to unknown circumstances (possibly because he was not given proper care, or perhaps he went looking for his mother), Allan decided to run away again, this time to Kisumu.  During his first day in Kisumu, Allan was arrested and brought to the Children’s Remand Center (similar to Juvenile Hall).  From here, the court ordered him to be brought to Agape Children’s Center early in 2006.

Allan loves to play soccer, tell stories, and play games with friends.  His favorite color is red, his favorite animal is a cow, and his favorite foods are fish and ugali─a staple food in Kenya comparable to cornmeal.  His favorite subject in school is Swahili and aspires to become a motor vehicle mechanic.
