Left to the care of his grandparent’s, Alex’s
father died when he was just a young boy living in the Rift Valley
province in western Kenya. One day, Alex ate something his
grandmother had forbidden him to eat. The incident led to severe
abuse which drove the nine-year-old to the streets to fend for
himself. He sold donuts while living on the streets before coming
to Agape Children’s Home─a Golden Clay Ministries supported
ministry─in 2000.
Today, Alex is a very friendly, respectful, and
obedient boy whose hobbies are soccer and basketball. He likes to
eat rice and beans, his favorite color is yellow, and his favorite
animal is the dog. Because Alex did not have an opportunity for
education before coming to Agape, he is only in grade 1 where his
favorite subject is math.
